Torquay sink Exeter

Exeter warmed up for the start of the season with a 2-0 home defeat to local rivals Torquay.

The Grecians, who lost to Swansea by the same scoreline on Tuesday evening, were denied when former goalkeeper Martin Rice kept out a Jimmy Keohane effort just before the half hour mark.

The 1,346 supporters had to wait until the 65th minute for the game's opening goal, Ryan Bowman hammering home at the near post.

And the Gulls sealed the victory in the dying minutes when Jordan Chapell struck.
