Tottenham v Stoke preview
Gareth Bale has recovered from a hamstring injury and comes back into contention for Tottenham's home date with in-form Stoke.
Scott Parker continued his comeback from an Achilles problem with a run-out for the U21s on Monday and could feature against the Potters while fellow long-term injury victim Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) was due to undergo medical tests on Friday to see if he is fit enough to play.
Emmanuel Adebayor (hamstring) was also due to face a fitness test. Defender Younes Kaboul (knee) is out but Michael Dawson is fit again after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.
Charlie Adam is unlikely to figure for Stoke as he has been granted compassionate leave following the death of his father.
Tony Pulis is not expected to make too many changes to his side, with stability key to the Potters' success.
Ryan Shotton is available again after serving a one-match ban, but Andy Wilkinson is tipped to retain his starting berth at right-back, while Michael Owen is closing on full fitness and will hope to be involved at some stage during the Christmas programme.
