Town appealing Southern card

Huddersfield Town are appealing against the red card given to Keith Southern at Charlton on Saturday.

The midfielder was sent off in the 34th minute of Saturday's 1-1 draw for a challenge on the halfway line with defender Michael Morrison.

The red card would see Southern serve a three match suspension, meaning the 31-year-old would be unavailable for the games against Middlesbrough, Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers.

A decision is expected on Tuesday afternoon.
