Trio named in Team of the Year

Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Kelvin Davis are the three Southampton players named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

Goalkeeper Davis, 35, who has missed just one league game this season, has kept 17 clean sheets and makes the Championship dream team for the second time in his career.

Influential midfielder Lallana, 23, completes Southampton's contingent after marking his second full season on the south coast with 12 goals in all competitions.

Nigel Adkins' men might have sealed their return to the Premier League but suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

They can, however, win promotion to the top flight without kicking a ball on Monday evening if third-placed West Ham fail to beat Leicester.
