United close on McNulty deal

Sheffield United are poised to sign Livingston striker Marc McNulty, Sky Sports understands.

United have been trailing McNulty for some time and they are understood to have agreed an undisclosed fee with Livingston for the 21-year-old.

McNulty scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for the Scottish Championship club this season and he is regarded as one of the best talents in Scotland.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in McNulty, but United are set to win the race for his signature.

McNulty is set to sign a three-year deal at Bramall Lane as Blades boss Nigel Clough looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

The move will see McNulty reunited with former Livingston team-mate Stefan Scougall at Bramall Lane.
