Northamptonshire's Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of injury.
The 38-year-old left-armer has played in six LV= County Championship Division Two matches this summer but has struggled throughout with various complaints.
Northamptonshire chief executive David Smith said: "This is disappointing news for Chaminda and the team.
"He has played such an important role for the club over the past couple of years. We wish him well in his recovery."
