Varian: Hill where I want him

Kingston Hill could be taken to Newmarket racecourse this week - though not for a prep run before the QIPCO 2000 Guineas.

Trainer Roger Varian is keen to reacclimatise the Racing Post Trophy winner with the Suffolk circuit before he contests the colts' Classic on May 3.

Varian said: "We took him for a gallop at Newbury last Sunday and it's all going well.

"He might just go to Newmarket this week before racing for a look around but he's where I want him at the moment."

The unbeaten son of Mastercraftsman also holds an entry in the Investec Derby and is around the 9/1 mark for the Guineas.
