Vaughan making injury progress

Nottingham Forest midfielder David Vaughan has stepped up his comeback from injury by playing 45 minutes for the Under-21s.

The Wales international has been sidelined since February with a knee injury but could now return to action when Birmingham come to The City Ground on Saturday.

"It was all fine, I just need to get some game-time under my belt, work on my fitness," he told Forest Player.

"It was nice to be back on the pitch and playing football.

"It's the longest injury I've had. I've probably had the two worst injuries of my career since I've been here, so it's been a very frustrating time for me."
