Vidal close to Juventus deal
Arturo Vidal is close to signing an improved deal with Juventus, according to club general director Giuseppe Marotta.
The Chile midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer after his impressive performances helped Juve get back-to-back Serie A titles.
"Vidal's contract extension is imminent," Marotta said to www.tuttomercatoweb.com.
Vidal is expected to put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him with the Turin giants until June 2018.
The 26-year-old scored 15 goals and set up a further 11 in all competitions last season.
Vidal joined Juve in 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen in a nine million euros transfer deal.
