Viennese waltz for Muller

Luxembourg's Gilles Muller came back from a set down to defeat Steve Darcis of Belgium and reach the second round of the Erste Open in Vienna.

Muller, the world number 81, dropped the first set on a tie-break but did not allow Darcis a single break point in the last two sets as he emerged a 6-7 (7-3) 6-4 6-3 winner.

In the day's only other first-round action, Dutch sixth seed Robin Haase was surprised 1-6 6-3 6-2 by Australia's Marinko Matosevic, who wrapped up victory in one hour and 37 minutes.
