View set for summer break

Present View is to be roughed off for the season after his Cheltenham heroics with the Paddy Power Gold Cup his next major target.

The six-year-old defied an 11lb rise in the ratings for an easy win at Kempton last month to hold off Attaglance in the Rewards4Racing Novices' Chase.

Present View's trainer Jamie Snowden was registering his first win at the Festival and now has more Cheltenham success on his mind.

"He won't be going to Aintree, he's done enough for this season," said Snowden.

"I think we'll start him off in a novice hurdle somewhere and then go for the Paddy Power - he's gone up to 144 now.

"His jumping is spectacular, he was actually outpaced at one stage but his jumping helped him get back into it.

"He's only six and with another year on his back as he strengthens up, I see no reason as to why he won't get three miles next season.

"He's an absolutely gorgeous horse. It's taken us a little while to sort him out but now he's coming of age."
