Vorda has America in her sights
France's Cheveley Park Stakes winner Vorda remains on course for a challenge at the Breeders' Cup next month.
A first attempt at a mile in the Fillies Juvenile Turf on November 1 is on the agenda for the daughter of Orpen, who has made such an impression for her trainer and recently-retired jockey Philippe Sogorb.
Vorda was a hot favourite at Newmarket on September 28, where she beat Princess Noor by a comfortable three-quarters of a length, and has met with defeat just once in five appearances when second to the powerful American colt No Nay Never in the Prix Morny.
Were she to be successful, she would be emulating the achievement 12 months ago of her compatriot Flotilla, who carried the same blue and white silks of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani to success at Santa Anita.
Thierry Delegue, the owner's advisor, said: "She's fine and the main plan is still the Breeders' Cup. I believe she will be flying out there in about 10 days' time."
