Vunipolas up for Clermont test

The Vunipola brothers are eyeing revenge when Saracens play Clermont in their Heineken Cup semi-final this weekend, but know it will be tough.

The two sides met in the quarter-final stage of the competition two years ago, when the French team ran out convincing 22-3 winners at Vicarage Road.

Saturday's game will be at Twickenham and England stars Mako and Billy Vunipola know it will be tough against last year's runners-up.

Mako told Sky Sports: "We knew that day (in 2012) we got beaten up, well and truly, and we know European rugby is a step up from the league.

"So for us as a team we know we have to front up to them and match them physically really.

"Clermont are a good side but any side obviously has some flaws and we know we're going to have to try and work hard to find them.

"We're definitely looking forward to the game. It's been a long year and one I've enjoyed so far and hopefully Saturday will be an awesome game."

Brother Billy is looking for Saracens to be positive and create space for the backs to exploit.

He said: "They've obviously got threats, and we know that, but again as a team, we know where our strengths are.

"We need to get on the front foot. It's probably down to me and some of the forwards to try and provide that for the backs.

"We've got Ashey (Chris Ashton) out there, we've got Strets (David Strettle) and if we can give them some space maybe they are create more for us and vice-versa, we can create more for them.

"It's much more complicated than that, obviously, but hopefully we can go out there and put our best foot forward."
