Wahler: Schneider's job safe

Stuttgart chairman Bernd Wahler says that Thomas Schneider's job as manager and Fredi Bobic's role as general manager are not under threat despite the club's poor run of form.

Schneider is under contract at Stuttgart until June 2015 but with the club currently sitting in 14th position in the German Bundesliga, two points above the relegation zone, the pressure is on to return to winning ways.

Wahler, though, insists there will be no changes at the club in the near future.

He said: "My trust in Thomas Schneider and Fredi Bobic is undaunted, we are standing firm to our plans and our idea for the future of this club.

"We are aware of our situation in the league and of course it's disastrous, there is no doubt about it.

"We are ahead of important weeks and matches. There are fourteen matches left this season. Those fourteen matches are to be like cup finals for us."
