Wall waits for rain with Pink
Chris Wall is hoping the rain comes soon so that he can run Intense Pink after he took her out of Thursday's Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes.
The four-year-old filly, who has not raced since being well-beaten in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, has plenty of options, but she will not reappear until the ground eases.
If conditions suit, Intense Pink could return to action in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on September 7.
"We would have had to travel her over to Ireland on Tuesday and declare on Wednesday on ground that was probably drying up," said the Newmarket trainer.
"We've just got to be patient and wait for it to rain. The more rain for her, the better it is.
"The next race on the agenda is the Haydock Sprint and after that there are a succession of Listed races and Group Threes dotted about.
"The Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster might be one for her. We have plenty of options, but we just need it to stop raining."
