Warburton still hoping to add
Mark Warburton is still hoping to bring added firepower into Brentford before the start of the new Sky Bet Championship season.
The second tier new boys remain short of attacking options, with Andre Gray their only recognised striker.
They have plenty of other forward-thinking talent at their disposal, but goalscorers will be vital after stepping up a division.
Warburton is aware of that and is doing all he can to identify and land top targets.
He is looking for them to arrive ahead of the weekend and join seven other new recruits at Griffin Park.
Brentford are, however, eager to point out that will not be dipping into the transfer market for the sake of it and are prepared to wait for the right recruits to become available.
Warburton said: "We hope to have one or two in this week if it's the right person who adds value.
"We will never bring a player in just to make up numbers. It's all about adding to what we have. It's a good quality squad."
