Ward puts future on hold

Stephen Ward is happy to wait until the end of the season to discuss whether he has a long-term future at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Republic of Ireland international is on a season-long loan at Brighton from Wolves and he has made 42 appearances for the Championship club.

Brighton are currently trying to tie up a play-off position and sit in sixth spot, one point ahead of Reading with three games remaining.

Ward's parent club Wolves will also be playing in the second tier next season after winning promotion from League 1 and the 28-year-old has put his future on hold.

"At the moment I am a Brighton player and that is all I am concentrating on," said left-back Ward.

"I am sure when the season ends I will know more about my future."
