Warnock future still uncertain

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert says there is no change on Stephen Warnock's situation, with no bids for the former Liverpool player as yet.

Both Warnock and Alan Hutton have been sidelined under Lambert's regime, with both international full-backs looking like their futures lay elsewhere.

Warnock's former Villa boss Martin O'Neill, now at Sunderland has been strongly linked, but Lambert insists nothing has changed with him.

"There's no update on Stephen Warnock or anything like that, it's just that that's the squad I chose that's all that I'll say about it really," said Lambert.

"He's done really, really fine."

Lambert admits that whilst he is looking to add to his squad, he is happy with what he has got.

"If we go with what we've got on Saturday then I've not got a problem," he said.

"I don't know if there will be any more activity before then, but the group at the minute, they're doing all right, so we'll have to wait and see," he added.
