Warriors sign Schuster

Worcester have signed prop Jerome Schuster as injury cover for Jeremy Becasseau, the club have confirmed.

Schuster joined Leicester from Perpignan last summer, but he will now spend the remainder of this season with the Warriors.

Becasseau is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a neck problems, while John Andress and Euan Murray have both been out with injuries.

Schuster can play at either loosehead or tighthead and collected a Top 14 winners' medal with Perpignan in 2009.

The 28-year-old made his international debut for France against Fiji in November 2010, and Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan is delighted to have signed someone of Schusters calibre.

Ryan said: "With the injury to John Andress and the fact that Euan Murray has only recently returned from a lengthy lay-off, it was important to bring in a tighthead prop for the rest of the season.

"I am delighted that we are able to recruit someone of Jerome's experience."
