Warwick card abandoned

Thursday's meeting at Warwick has been abandoned following an 11am inspection.

Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma admitted that the check was merely a formality as the track was frozen under five inches of snow.

"We had one last look at 11am but there was no sign of the temperatures rising," she said.

"Our next meeting is February 9 which is the Kingmaker card so we're desperate for that to be on."
