Weimann happy to end drought
Aston Villa ace Andreas Weimann admits he was relieved to have got back on the goalscoring front after a barren run.
Weimann ended a four-month drought with goals in the draw at Liverpool and victory over West Brom in the last two weeks.
The two goals doubled the Austrian's tally to four for the season so far and Weimann has revealed the goals helped lift a weight off his shoulders and he wants to continue finding the net for the rest of the season.
"I want to keep going," Weimann told the Birmingham Mail. "I feel I can. It's like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders when you score goals as a forward.
"I always felt I was contributing but just not scoring. But as a forward you're desperate to score. That's what you live for.
"Your confidence is bound to dip if you go for a spell without a goal but once you hit the net, you get a burst of belief."
