Weirather wins in St Moritz

Tina Weirather closed the gap at the top of the World Cup standings on Saturday with victory in the Women's Super G in St Moritz.

The Lichtensteinerin topped the board in one minute 17.38 seconds, finishing 0.31 secs ahead of Sweden's Kajsa Kling with Austrian Anna Fenninger completing the podium.

World Championship leader Lara Gut finished down in seventh and her lead over Weirather in the standings now sits at 37 points.

It was a second career World Cup victory for Weirather after her triumph in March in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
