West Ham v Stoke preview
Team news ahead of the Premier League clash between West Ham and Stoke at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.
West Ham will be unable to call upon Alou Diarra against the Potters, and it is unlikely the midfielder will play again this season.
Frenchman Diarra sustained a knee injury during a rare start against Cheltenham in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, and manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that the injury is worse than initially thought.
The 32-year-old will undergo surgery and is likely to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Allardyce is also unlikely to be able to call upon record signing Andy Carroll, who is yet to feature this season due to a heel injury.
Stoke striker Peter Crouch comes back into contention on Saturday.
Crouch missed Wednesday's midweek Capital One Cup win over Walsall due to illness, but will be vying for the lead forward role alongside Kenwyne Jones following the latter's hat-trick against the Saddlers.
Manager Mark Hughes has only one player out through injury, with midfielder Jamie Ness still struggling with a thigh problem.
