Wetherby called off
Wednesday afternoon's National Hunt meeting at Wetherby has been abandoned due to a flooded track at the West Yorkshire course.
Officials had initially called a 2pm inspection for on Monday but the track has seen a further half-inch of rain overnight which has added to their problems.
With parts of the course already under water, they have had little choice but to make an early decision.
Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "After Saturday night's rainfall we needed things to regress, but they didn't and we had another half of an inch of rain overnight. It's also been raining either heavily or steadily all morning.
"There is further heavy rain forecast later, amounting to 20 millimetres.
"We are already flooded and it's going to get worse. From experience I know we need four or five days for it to dry out."
