Wetherby gets the go-ahead

Tuesday afternoon's meeting at Wetherby goes ahead after the track passed an 8am inspection.

Temperatures dipped below freezing overnight but clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson reports the venue to be fit for action.

He said: "We are on. It dropped to about minus two overnight, perhaps not even quite that low.

"We are shrouded in fog at the moment, but hopefully that will lift by 10.30 or 11 this morning.

"There is a little bit of frost on top of the ground but that should be gone by the time of the first race and we are moving a bit of rail to avoid the worst of it."
