Wildcats v Red Devils: Teams

Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Wildcats will be looking to keep their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday when they go head-to-head at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

The pair find themselves 10th and 11th in the table respectively, four points adrift of eighth-placed Widnes Vikings with only three rounds of the regular season remaining.

Defeat will end any hopes of a top-eight finish for either club. Salford have come on leaps and bounds under head coach Iestyn Harris and this weekend's match is sure to be intriguing as he takes on another young coach in Wakefield's Jake Webster.

Wildcats hooker or half-back Pita Godinet is back from a six-week absence with a knee injury, with Jarrod Sammut switching to full-back in place of teenager Max Jowitt, who made his debut in the defeat at St Helens.

On-loan scrum-half Tim Smith is free to play against his parent club after leaving Wakefield at the end of last season to make the switch to the AJ Bell Stadium.

Salford, meanwhile, are without forward Steve Rapira, who has returned home to New Zealand on compassionate leave, and coach Harris will plug the gap with either Darrell Griffin or Andrew Dixon.

Winger Josh Griffin is also available after sitting out the win over Catalan Dragons.
