Winger Danny Williams has signed a new two-year contract with the Salford City Reds.
The former Leeds player returned to rugby league last year after a brief spell in rugby union with Newcastle and, after undergoing a trial at Hull KR, joined the City Reds for the last two months of the season.
"Danny's enjoying his footie," said coach Phil Veivers. "He likes the way we play our game. It's a bonus for us."
Williams is the first of a host of out-of-contract players to commit his future to Salford.
"There was interest but Salford have been good to me," he said. "They gave me a chance when I came back to rugby league.
"I love Manchester, it's a great city, and it's a good opportunity to stay for two more years."
