Wilson to play on for Hearts
Hearts defender Danny Wilson is suffering from shin splints - but has put an operation on hold in a bid to secure Scottish Premiership survival.
The Tynecastle skipper's injury is not as bad as first feared, so manager Gary Locke is hoping he can nurse him through to the end of the season.
"It's a wee problem Danny's had for a couple of weeks now," Locke told the Hearts website.
"His shins were flaring up so we decided it was best to get him a scan. Fortunately it's come back and, while it's not brilliant news, it's better than what we anticipated.
"We just have to manage him during the week and wrap him up in cotton wool to make sure he's okay for the games on Saturday.
"Danny's obviously happy because it could've been a lot worse. It's not ideal but the good thing is we can manage it and we can get him out on the pitch on a Saturday, which is the most important thing."
Hearts are currently 14 points adrift of 11th-placed Ross County with 23 games remaining.
