Wilson treated for cancer

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson is being treated for prostate cancer.

The 72-year-old, who played in the club's first double-winning side in the 1970/1 season, confirmed the diagnosis on Saturday.

He said: "I am very confident that the treatment I am receiving will prove successful."

Wilson, who made 234 appearances for Arsenal and also worked as the club's goalkeeping coach, has cancelled all his public commitments.
