Wolves have lost their appeal against Roger Johnson's red card in Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Blackpool.
The centre-back was sent off in the closing stages of the encounter following an altercation with Angel Martinez.
Wanderers appealed the decision on Tuesday based upon the grounds of wrongful dismissal but that has been thrown out by the Football Association and Johnson will now serve a three-match suspension.
Johnson will miss Thursday night's Championship clash at Leicester as well as the games against Leeds and Derby.
