Wolves top Phoenix in overtime
Worcester Wolves were taken to overtime by Cheshire Phoenix before claiming a 94-90 victory to make it four wins out of four.
The teams were locked at 82-82 at the end of regulation time but Worcester, who had 28 points and 22 rebounds from Will Creekmore, were able to secure the triumph after edging the extra period.
The result leaves Worcester on top of the BBL table with Newcastle Eagles moving up to second on the back of a massive win over Birmingham Knights on Friday night, which saw all five starters record double-doubles.
Malik Cooke led the way with a game-high 27 points and 14 rebounds, but team-mates Scott Martin (24 points and 16 rebounds), Paul Gause (22 points and 11 assists), Darius Defoe (21 points and 12 rebounds) and Andrew Lasker (17 points and 10 rebounds) also had big nights as Newcastle ran out 129-70 winners.
