Women's Ashes format to remain
Next year's women's Ashes series in Australia will follow the same format as the series currently under way in England.
Unlike the men's Ashes, England's women take on Australia across multiple formats of the game with points allocated throughout the seven matches.
There will be one Test match, starting in Perth on January 10, with three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches to follow.
The points system was first introduced for the current series and will remain the same when the two sides meet Down Under in 2014.
Six points will be awarded to the winning side in the Test match, with two points apiece if it is drawn. Two points are then on offer for the winners of the shorter-format matches, with a point each if the ODI's are drawn and a one-over eliminator in the event of a tied T20 clash.
England lead the ongoing series 6-4 with the three T20's remaining, having drawn the Test and won two of the ODI's. The first T20 match will be played on Tuesday in Chelmsford with further matches at the Rose Bowl and Chester-le-Street throughout the week.
