Worley woe for Stevenage

Stevenage defender Harry Worley will likely miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against Southend.

The former Newport centre-back has been booked in for surgery, with Boro physio Paul Dando confirming the news in the club's programme.

He said: "Unfortunately I must begin on a sour note with the news that Harry sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament at Southend last weekend.

"This was confirmed following an MRI scan on Monday and is obviously a blow for both Harry and the squad.

"He was due to see the surgeon late last week and we are keen to get things moving with his surgery ASAP.

"These injuries are unpredictable and this is the second ACL we have suffered in the space of six months, having not seen any in the previous six seasons - which is scant consolation for both Deano (Dean Parrett) and H. I will, of course, keep you updated on his progress."
