Charlton midfielder Scott Wagstaff believes promotion to the Championship has been worth the wait.
The 22-year-old first arrived in London aged eight and was branded borderline after being handed an extended trial.
But now he has 131 appearances under his belt for the Addicks and is setting his sights on another crack at the next level.
"It's massive," he told the club's official website. "We've been trying to do this for the last two or three years and now we've done it - it's amazing.
"The boys have been excellent all season and I feel that we've deserved it. It's an unbelievable feeling and a great day for everyone.
"The boys have worked their socks off and we have got the rewards now," he added. "We need to make sure we enjoy it and then look forward to next season."
