Worthington reflects on point
Nigel Worthington was pleased with York's display after a 0-0 draw with Bristol Rovers but felt they could have won on another day.
The Minstermen dominated proceedings early on but failed to turn their possession into goals, with Steve Mildenhall producing a fine stop from close range to deny Russell Penn before saving from Keith Lowe in the second half.
A fourth successive win would have seen York move into the top half but Worthington had no complaints with his team's display.
"It was an excellent game of football between two honest teams trying to win the game. We probably created more out of the two sides but their goalkeeper has had a fantastic day and stopped two or three dead certs," he said.
"I'm very pleased with the performance, the players have put in a good shift and we were resilient enough to keep a clean sheet. We kept making the chances and on another day one of those will go in off someone's backside. There were a lot of positives to take and all we need to do is keep going.
"No matter which team you're playing against they'll always come into the game. They created chances, maybe not as clear cut as us, but we dealt with them very well. We didn't do anything different to what we've done in the past three games, but here it was just one of those days."
