Wright laments lost points

Chesterfield caretaker manager Tommy Wright admitted he was disappointed despite extending his unbeaten run to seven matches.

Wright looked on course for a fourth home win when Tendayi Darikwa scored his first Chesterfield goal but a mistake allowed Torquay's Rene Howe to equalise shortly after in a 1-1 draw at the Proact Stadium.

"It was a game we should have won with the chances we had and the position we had," Wright said. "I thought we played well in the second half but then we made a silly mistake.

"But I thought we came back and had one or two chances to win it. Once we got in front I thought we would go on and win it and to concede was disappointing.

"It's better than getting beat and they are a difficult team to play against but there are things we have to improve on, I know that, but overall I thought we were the better team.

"So I'm disappointed with the result but the second half performance I was pleased with."
