Wrist injury sidelines Dalton
Irish Grand National-winning jockey Ben Dalton is facing a spell on the sidelines after he broke a wrist at Thurles.
Dalton was unseated at the last by Prosperity Square in the www.thurlesraces.ie Handicap Chase, after the gelding was badly hampered by another faller.
The rider said: "I broke my wrist and I sprained my C4 joint, I didn't fracture it in the end. I went to get X-rays on it and it was just sprained.
"I went in to hospital on Friday, I got operated on Saturday morning and I was out Saturday night.
"I presume I'll be out for around six weeks, I have to go back to Paddy Kenny (specialist) on Tuesday week and I'll probably know more then."
