WTA Finals off to Singapore
The WTA has confirmed its end-of-season finals tournament will move to Singapore for at least the next five years.
The October event will feature the top singles and doubles players from the year and will be expanded to include competitions for up-and-coming tour players and veterans.
Singapore will be the ninth city to host the WTA Finals since 1972 - most recently they were held in Doha from 2008-2010 and Istanbul since 2011.
WTA founder Billie Jean King, who made the announcement at the All England Club in Wimbledon, will be the event's official ambassador.
