Wycombe have confirmed that they are helping the police in their enquiries after a Gillingham fan was arrested for attacking goalkeeper Jordan Archer during the Chairboys' 1-0 win on Monday night.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper was placing the ball ready to take a goal-kick when a teenage Gills supporter came on the pitch and leapt towards the Tottenham loanee.
The fan was quickly apprehended by a steward and led away and on Tuesday afternoon Wycombe released a statement.
"The club is co-operating with the police in their enquiries following the arrest of a Gillingham fan in Monday's game at the Priestfield Stadium," it said.
"This matter is now with the authorities and the club will be making no further comment at this time."
