Yarnold gets Lake Placid podium
Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold claimed her third straight World Cup podium of the season with a third-placed finish in Lake Placid on Friday.
Yarnold improved from seventh place after the first run to take bronze behind American favourite Noelle Pikus Pace and second-placed Anja Huber of Germany.
Yarnold has now won medals of every colour from the first three World Cups of the season, with the second of the two Lake Placid World Cup races set to take place on Sunday.
Yarnold's Great Britain team-mate Shelley Rudman continued her encouraging start to the season by finishing in sixth place, a total of 0.85 seconds behind the winner.
