Zambia, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde and the Central African Republic have been nominated for the African national team of the year award, the Confederation of African Football has announced.
Zambia won the African Nations Cup for the first time in February with a penalty shootout victory over Ivory Coast.
Cape Verde have qualified for the 2013 event for the first time - their first major tournament - thanks to a victory over Cameroon.
This year the Central African Republic won their first World Cup qualifier and beat Egypt in Nations Cup qualifying.
