Anyone familiar with YouTube will have seen the rather tragic, but undeniably funny, "Numa Numa" dance. T.I certainly has and, for some unknown reason, decided it was the perfect basis for a new song.
Introduced by O-Zone's warbling 'Dragostea Din Tei', followed by a reinterpreted chorus from Rihanna, T.I takes over for a verse littered with references to rap's introverted politics - inserting the word "hater" where others would take a breath.
Barbados' finest export Rihanna then returns to the forefront for an ebullient chorus full of gang-harmonised "Oh!"s and "Hey"s, although the confused rhetoric about "paper-chasing" is distracting.
T.I is at his best when he's on the attack and his fiercest lines come in the more self-gratifying second verse. "The spirit of a hustler/The swagger of a college kid" suits Just Blaze and Canei Finch's perfect production and T.I's omnipresent view of the urban scenery.
Yet again, though, it's proof that whatever Rihanna touches turns to riches.
