Watchmen star reveals latex hell

Malik-Akerman-393-221

Watchmen star Malin Akerman has spoken of her problems wearing her latex suit to play superhero Silk Spectre II in the movie.

Speaking to Metro, Swedish-born Akerman revealed the full extent of her discomfort.

"I think latex is super sexy when you see it on someone else, but when you're the one wearing it, it's like putting a rubber band on your whole body," she admitted.

"It takes on whatever temperature it is and then magnifies it. So if we were shooting outside and it was freezing, it made me extra cold, and if it was indoors and hot, it made it extra hot."

She also revealed she had to undergo rigorous training in order to fit into the costume.

"The latex suit showed all my contours so it was something I had to do," she said.

Watchmen, Zack Snyder's much-anticipated adaptation of the seminal graphic novel, is on general release from 6 March.
