Wolverine tops UK Box Office

X-Men Origins: Wolverine has stormed to the top of the UK box office chart.

The action fantasy, which stars Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber, took an impressive £6.65m in its opening weekend.

It edged out Hannah Montana: The Movie, which entered the chart at number two, taking £2m.

Last week's UK number one, State of Play, drops down to third.

Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past, starring Matthew McConaughey, entered at four with just short of £1m. Zac Efron's comedy 17 Again, rounds out the top five.

Monsters Vs Aliens dropped four places to six, while Fast And Furious drops down to seventh. Comedies I Love You, Man, In The Loop and horror The Uninvited complete the top ten.
