Rock'n'roll injuries

Nick McCarthy

Franz Ferdinand guitarist Nick McCarthy bust his foot recently, midway through the band's US tour. The poor axesmith has taken to playing sitting down, which rather spoils his and singer Alex Kapranos's dance routines.

The rock'n'roll injury isn't all that rare - hardly surprising when you consider the feckless lives our musical heroes lead - so here we remember some of the more dramatic pratfalls, whether onstage or off. Click below for the full accident book.
