After a day of joyous celebration, the country was in a mild state of shock as the Duke of Edinburgh had to be taken to hospital with a bladder infection. A palace spokeswoman explained that it was a precautionary measure, but Prince Philip would have to stay in hospital for a few days and miss the rest of the Jubilee celebrations. (PA)
