Whitney Houston was one of the biggest female pop stars of all time. She was the first to ever have seven consecutive number one singles, and her 1993 cover of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You became the biggest hit single in music history.
But, in later years, she became almost as well known for her troubled private life, including her turbulent marriage to R&B star Bobby Brown and rumours of drug problems. She was found dead in a room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA. A coroner ruled she had accidentally drowned in the bathtub due to the effects of cocaine use and heart disease. Photo: Rex
