England wrap it up with a single squirted into the offside from Samit Patel. It wasn't overly convincing in the end, but England were definitely worth their win. It was a fine bowling and fielding performance from them first of all, as Dernbach and Tredwell both impressed on their first appearances of the series meant that no South African could score more than Dean Elgar's 43. While in the batting, a sluggish start was steadied by the fine innings of Trott (71) and Morgan (73). There were definitely positives for South Africa to take from the game: most notably the bowling of Wayne Parnell but they were let down by their batsmen and also the bowling of Lonwabo Tsotsobe. It all means that England will go to Lord's on Sunday back on top of the rankings and level at 1-1 in the 5 match series with 2 to play.
