commentary

Over 20. 12 runs. Bowler: Lakshmipathy Balaji. South Africa: 151/10(rr 7.55)

OUT! Bowled. Balaji to Morkel. Yorker, off stump on the back foot Slog, missed. In the end, a surprisingly tight finish given how comfortable India seemed to be. Although India have won this incredibly tight game by only 1 run, it will not be any consolation for India as they missed out on progressing to the next stage of this T20 World Cup through Net Run Rate to their rivals, Pakistan. Francois du Plessis was outstanding during his innings for South Africa and despite knowing prior to this match that they could not go through, South Africa gave it a real go. Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh and Balaji bowled well for India but again, they will be disappointed to have not scored more runs with the bat.

SIX! Balaji to Morkel. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs.
