commentary

Over 16. 3 runs. Bowler: Varun Aaron. Chennai Super Kings: 115/1(rr 7.19)

Aaron to Raina. Slower ball half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed to deep mid wicket for 3 runs, overthrow by Morkel. A sloppy end to a one-sided match, as a big hit goes wrong but falls in no-man's-land. Three fielders converge on it, and the result is an overthrow. This has been a big win for Chennai and keeps them in contention, as they move into fourth place on the log. The Daredevils remain on top. Hussey and Vijay made light work of a small target and there was no let-up after Hussey fell, Raina playing strokes from the word go. Pathan took the only wicket, but this has been a comprehensive win for the battle-hardened men in yellow. That modest target was due to the efforts of Hilfenhaus, who destroyed the Delhi top order, and he has been named Man of the Match.
